The days

People live here, and they go out.

In January 2026 the Press and Journal published an account of the house in the manager’s own words. What follows is that published account, not a weekly timetable.

In the house

Meals are cooked here. Chloe MacLeod’s husband, Scott, is the chef. On Christmas Eve 2025 the house sat about twenty extra guests from residents’ families down to a meal. There is no sample menu on this site.

Out of the house

The manager described a week that gets people out: an exercise class for someone who had always gone, regular afternoons at Ross County and Inverness Caledonian Thistle, and a three-day holiday in Embo in 2025 for eighteen residents, with Dunrobin Castle and the beach on the itinerary. The house also keeps a Christmas party, including one hosted at Strathpeffer Pavilion, and one it hosts for neighbouring homes.

Dingwall Academy, Ben Wyvis Primary and Strathpeffer Church have all been part of that. The account is the Press and Journal, 10 January 2026.
